Health care in Sweden is fading away

What a bummer, you are depending on the hospital rules and manners when arriving a suturday night suffering from severe chestpain. Any cardiac disorder will leave you outside of understanding. You are giving yourself up and hopefully you are in good hands. But honestly. What can the hospital today offer you? When you finally get there by ambulance, which is the quickest way to enter the emergencyroom, you are either dead, almost dead or is having a chestpain attack. Anyone who has taken your guts over there by your own can considder him or herself as a looser. There are a line waiting to see a doctor. What would happened if there were more than 2 medical doctors working? When I was working for a hospital in Sweden as a nurse I was chocked over the 2 working doctors. How can it be that way? As a nurse I felt useless. I run some tests and try to comfort and compensate for the pain or worries the patient were suffering from. Sometimes they had to waite more than 2 hours to see a doctor. Well we do not pay individually for the healtcare that you are provided but at least you could ask for emidiate care. Besides the tax payers are taking care of the healtcare for everyone so the hospitals are being paid allright. Listen up now, I do not wish to change the system that we have today. Although I am glad that there are a fee for entering the ER (emergency room). I can tell from experience of spanish healtcare system where they do not pay anything at all. Which is another complicated issue. Because with no fee at all everyone is coming to ER for minor or less than minor problems.

Swedish healtcare is fading away and not only the ER patients are suffering there are units that need to close down because of lack of staff available.
The ER need to be more efficient to gathering by the patient. From what I recall they are using at some hospital a sorting system called Triage. That way they are giving every patient a status and a number which ranking them in order to see a doctor. By other means they make a check up to see how ill you seem to be. Which is very effective. But still there are no more than 2 doctors working. I do not know if this is the case at present. But I have experince that earlier and I believe that it is logical why patients need to waite so long if they are low on staffmembers.

In general I am worried over the situation and that we need better organisations to create better possibillities in the future.

Welcome to discuss this issue with me here on this Blog.
